Delete your Akiba account
Akiba is the savings and credit app for AVECs, published by ICDataS. Use this page to request the deletion of your Akiba account and the personal data linked to it, without needing the app.
How it works
- Fill in the form below, or write to [email protected].
- We check that the request really comes from you, with a call or an SMS to the phone number registered in Akiba.
- Your account is deleted within 30 days at most, and we confirm it to you.
- You can also go through your committee or facilitator, who will pass the request on to us.
Data deleted
Within 30 days of verifying your request:
- your sign-in account: username, password, Google sign-in, PIN and connected devices;
- your e-mail, address, photo and date of birth;
- your SMS notification preferences.
Data kept
- Your AVEC's financial operations (shares, loans, repayments, fines, social fund) are the group's records: the other members' balances and share-out depend on them. They are kept for 10 years, the legal retention period for accounting records (OHADA law).
- Your name in them is replaced by "Member no. X" and your phone number is erased at the end of your AVEC's current cycle.
- The audit log (who did what and when) is kept for 10 years for fraud prevention, then deleted.
Deleting your account does not end your commitments to your AVEC (outstanding loan, shares): these are settled with the group.
